Jacques Prevert...je was an inknown to me...I simply read his, poem , was touched by it and decided to set music to it...only to discover , later, that there was a very well known song made after the words from this poet ...the song was entitled Les feulles mortes. Obviously I could not use literary material subject to the copyright protection....I asked The Societe de Gens de Lettres de Paris for
permission to use the words...no dice...therefore, I had to create new words and
thus "Suenos rotos" came to see the light...
